Welcome to Hornbill Nest. By accessing our website or booking a stay with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your reservation.

These terms apply to all guests and visitors of Hornbill Nest, managed under the Pazhayaveetil Annex Casa group.

1. Booking and Payments

  • Confirmation: A booking is only considered confirmed once the required advance payment has been successfully received and a confirmation email or message is sent by our reservation team.

  • Tariffs & Taxes: All room rates are subject to change without prior notice. Applicable government taxes will be added to the final bill as per standard regulations.

  • Full Property Rentals: For guests renting the Full Property, a security deposit may be required upon check-in, which is fully refundable at check-out subject to a damage inspection.

2. Check-In and Check-Out

  • Standard Timings: Our standard check-in time is 2:00 PM, and check-out time is 11:00 AM.

  • Early/Late Requests: Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

  • Identification: As per government regulations, all guests (including accompanying members) must present a valid, original photo ID (Aadhar Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License) at the time of check-in. PAN cards are not accepted as valid ID proofs.

3. Guest Conduct and Property Rules

  • Occupancy Limits: Guests must adhere to the maximum occupancy limits specified for their booked accommodation (e.g., maximum 4 persons per room in Guest House 1). Unregistered visitors are not permitted in guest areas after 8:00 PM.

  • Right of Admission: Management reserves the right of admission. We reserve the right to evict any guest exhibiting unacceptable behavior, causing a public disturbance, or violating property rules, without any refund.

  • Damage to Property: Guests are responsible for any loss or damage to property assets, fixtures, or amenities caused by them or their visitors. The cost of repair or replacement will be charged to the guest's final bill.

  • Illegal Activities: The possession or consumption of illegal drugs, weapons, or contraband is strictly prohibited on the premises.

4. Use of Facilities

  • Swimming Pool: The private indoor swimming pool is unsupervised. Guests use the pool at their own risk. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Standard swimwear is required.

  • Kitchen and BBQ Area: Guests renting the full property and utilizing the kitchen or BBQ facilities are expected to maintain basic cleanliness. Excessive mess may result in additional cleaning fees.

5. Nature and Environment

  • Wildlife Respect: Hornbill Nest is located near the Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary. Guests are required to respect the local flora and fauna. Loud music or disruptive noise outdoors is restricted, especially during early mornings and late evenings.

  • Smoking Policy: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the bedrooms and enclosed areas. Designated outdoor smoking zones are provided.

6. Liability and Disclaimer

  • Personal Belongings: Management is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal valuables, cash, or electronics. Guests are advised to keep their belongings secure.

  • Force Majeure: Hornbill Nest shall not be held liable for failure to provide services due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, power grid failures, government regulations, or severe weather conditions.

  • Nature Risks: While we take every precaution to ensure guest safety, interacting with natural surroundings (trekking, river visits, sanctuary walks) carries inherent risks. Guests engage in these activities at their own discretion.

7. Changes to Terms

Hornbill Nest reserves the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The terms applicable to your stay will be those in effect at the time of booking.
